Friends Honor Hall of Famer Hank Aaron

The Friends of the Eddie G. Robinson Museum held a fundraising reception at the Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La. to honor the "Homerun King", Henry Louis Aaron. Also honored were four other former Atlanta Braves players - Wayne Causey, Gary Eave, Ralph Garr, and George Stone - all of which attended Lincoln Parish universities. Mr. Aaron was in town to receive an honorary doctorate degree from Grambling State University. The sellout crowd paid $100 per ticket to see Mr. Aaron and bid on signed baseballs, bats, cards, and basketballs signed by the legendary Willis Reed, former New York Knick player and coach, who was also in attendance. The event was a great success!
